Flotators

The flotation is the treatment method based on the elimination of the impurities with the help of the air bubbles. Rising to the surface, the bubbles catch the particles of the impurities including the particles of the oil and petrochemicals and lift them to the water surface creating the film or foam layer which is then eliminated by the special foam-collecting mechanisms. After the pretreatment with the elimination of the large impurities the water can contain a lot of the petrochemicals in the form of the small s and also the small particles of mineral origin. It is possible to use the flotators for the elimination of such impurities.

The flotators are used to eliminate the finely dispersed impurities, petrochemicals, oils and other non-wetted impurities from the contaminated water pretreated with the elimination of the large impurities.

The flotators can be of the following types:
pressure flotators
Impeller flotators
Combined flotators


Pressure flotators

Operating principle
The plants of the pressure flotation have the pressure holding pump, compressor (or ejector), tank for the water saturation with the air (saturator), device for the injection of the water and air blend. The plants of the pressure flotation are characterized by the stable formation of the water and air blend (with the continuous consumption of the treated water) and also by many possibilities of the reagents application.

The characteristics of the pressure flotators:

1. The compactness and higher (1,3-1,5 times) specific output.
2. The flotators are made of metal. They can be of the air-tight version that decreases the air pollution in the premises.
3. The flotators are located on the frame above the floor level ensuring the gravity-flowing takeoff of the clarified water and trapped impurities.


Impeller flotators

Operating principle
For the preparation of the water and air blend the mechanical dispenser of the impeller flotator is used which ensures the involving, breaking and mixing of the air with the water. The impeller flotators of SF series allow to work more efficiently with the reagents thanks to the improved configuration of the components inside the device. The process takes place within the scope of the structure without the use of the remote equipment.

The characteristics of the impeller flotators:

1. Thanks to the original structure of the dispenser there are some conditions which ensure the separation of finer impurities in the flotator than in the similar devices of national and foreign production.
2. The smart construction of the dispensers allows to decrease their dimensions and material consumption that makes the assembly easier, improves the conditions of use and decreases the energy consumption during the operation.
3. The plants of the impeller flotation work more consistently in the conditions of the fluctuations of the treated water consumption.


The combined flotators

The combined flotator is characterized by the features of both the impeller and pressure flotators and can be used in the treatment schemes in case of the lack of the area for the installation.
